Whether it be conventional rod and reel, ice fishing, or fly fishing you want to learn, we can teach you. Individual, group, and family lessons are available.
Fishing Lessons
Beginner to Advanced Classes for ALL AGES
Are you looking to get the kids out in nature, involved in a fun activity that will stimulate their curiosity while developing their fine and gross motor skills? Maybe you are just looking to start a new hobby that will last you a lifetime. I will teach you the skills you need to know. You will learn how to tie the essential knots you need to know that will result in less lost fish. I will teach you what tackle you need to get started and how to set it all up. Baiting your hook with various different baits for the many different species of fish you may target can seem daunting. Let me show you how I do it so you will be more confident that you won't lose the bait while you cast. We will cover various techniques for casting and retrieving your line that will result in less frustration and more success. Finally, with a little luck, you will learn how to catch, handle, and release fish safely.
Individuals- $40 hr per person
*Group Package- $35 hr per person
*Group is 4-6 people max
*All persons must be 18 years of age or older unless otherwise accompanied by an adult. Clients are responsible for obtaining their own individual fishing license. Individuals under 15 years of age do not require a license.
Fly Fishing
Lessons and Guided Trips
Have you ever wanted to know what all the hype is about fly fishing? Tired of fishing with conventional gear? Maybe you just watched the movie A River Runs Through It and want to feel like Brad Pitt. Whatever your reason, you're in the right place. I will teach you what equipment you need and how to set it all up with confidence. Learn what types of flies to use and when and how to tie them on the line. I will teach you several styles of casts for various different situations. All lessons are taught while wading inside the river and actually fishing, not lessons in a grassy field to simulate the water.
Hourly "Brush-up" Lessons- $100hr/ per person
Half day "beginner" Lessons (4hrs)- $350 1st person
*Only $200 for an additional person

Private Charters
If it swims, we can catch it!
Come aboard the Abby Normal, my 23ft pilothouse with a spacious deck. Trust me, we're not gonna need a bigger boat! Just sit back and enjoy your day while the Captain works hard to put you on fish. Stripers, bluefish, black seabass, flounder, haddock and cod are our common quarry but you never know what may bite your line.
Half Day (4hrs) $500

Ice Fishing
FLAG!
Getting tired of sitting inside all winter? Get out and try something new! Put on your snow gear and join me on the ice. Let me do all the hard work and teach you what to do. I will cut all the holes and teach you how to set up the tip up ice traps. For those very cold and windy days I can set up the 6 person shelter with space heater where you can jig up some fish on tiny ice fishing rods while the spread out traps do their job. All equipment is provided.

My Story
As a family man and a full-time Firefighter I understand the importance of enjoying every moment, with the ones you love, to the fullest. As a certified, USCG approved, Captain, I am trained to the highest standards on the water to ensure you have a fun yet safe experience.
I believe fishing is an avenue for creating those special moments with family and friends. I have spent my life building great memories on the decks of boats and the banks of local waters in search of that next big catch. I grew up, in the small town of Andover, spending countless hours dedicated to learning everything I can about fishing. I absolutely love fishing and believe that you can too. It is my mission to share the knowledge I have acquired, in my 35+ years of experience, with you. Come get "Hooked" on this sport/art with me that will bring you a lifetime of memorable experiences.

Your Safety Comes First
Fishing and fun is the main goal here, however the safety of you and your loved ones is paramount. That being said, accidents do happen and working around water with sharp objects can be conducive to injury. Your guide is a licensed EMT with a valid CPR certificate, boater education certificate, water safety certificate, and hunter safety certificate. Should a situation arise, we are prepared to help. The only thing left to do is book now and get ready to get "Hooked"!
